Our election is off to a great start! We had 13 eager students submit essays in hopes of becoming the Class President of Room 404! We had the chance to hear all of the essays today without knowing who wrote them, so we could vote just off the ideas we heard. We were able to narrow it down to our top 5! Congratulations to Connor, Logan, Mya, Cherawn, and Ava! Campaign week is next!
Well... the Huskers might not be doing as well as we'd like, but the predictions are going well in our classroom! Lauren predicted the EXACT score of the game last Saturday! Way to go!
Thanks Anara for sharing your Tiger Rock skills with us! We learned a lot and had fun seeing you in action!
This week is student serve week. On Monday we brainstormed as a class ways we could help our Lincoln community or our Cavett community. The students decided they wanted to help the teachers at Cavett by offering their assistance in whatever way the teachers needed help! I love that their caring hearts came up with this idea! Teachers have been so appreciative! Way to go!
Today I started my third and final week of grad classes at Doane for the summer. I have been learning lots and doing a lot of work! I am anxious to bring some of the ideas and practices I've learned about into my classroom next year. Today my class started with an activity in which we were asked what our dream would be that our students take into their lives that they learned in our classrooms. I've attached what I came up with :) Hoping you're all enjoying your summers!
